Fine Burgundy from a very low yielding vineyard, planted in 1914. Great concentration and length. This wine is made from older vines making a more complex flavour and more concentrated fruit. A superbly crafted wine from this small domaine.

Producer Information

Domaine Bachey-Legros et Fils: The sixth generation of the Bachey family presides over this little domaine of Chassagne Montrachet. Morgeot is arguably the finest of the Premier Cru vineyards in the appellation and this domaine`s vines being more than 75 years old make for low yields and extra concentration. 14 in oak barriques adds to the finesse of this rich white Burgundy. In Chassagne white wines ate the best, but the red example is much more rich and full bodied than is normal for the appellation due to the incredibly low yields from this vineyard which was planted in 1914.
