Producer Information

Chateau de Bouchassy: An old property of 27 hectares owned by the Degoul family since1973 it is now run by Gerard Degoul. The vineyards benefit from a typically Mediterranean climate with an average temperature of 14 degrees and 2,700 of sum a year. Rainfall is low and the dry and arid soils restrain the growth of the vines- which therefore produce laess wine, but of a higher quality. The red wine is grown on limestone plateaux which are made up of large pebbles. The majority of the vineyard comprise of vines between 35 and 70 years old further restricting the yield. In good vintages the wine will keep for 10 years.
