Chateau des Roques always produces some of the best wines in Vacqueyras. This hot region produces a typically big Grenache grape wine aged in old casks giving a tiny hint of oak.

Tasting Notes

Beautiful deep black cherry colour. A rich bouquet with a complex nose of red fruits. The tannins provide a nice range of flavours of ripe fruits, lavender and pepper with a nery nice final aromatic taste.

Producer Information

Chateau des Roques: Vacqueyras is situated east of the old Romam town of Orange between Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Gigondas. Originally Cotes-du-Rhone Villages. Vacqueyras was awarded its own appellationin1990 and the wines of Chateau des Roques are typical of the high quality which can be achieved here. Andre Fregiere has been wine-maker here for 18 years and under presant owner, Pierre Seroul, produces some of the most impressive wines in the village
