An interesting wine made from the rare Pedral grape. This bodega is one of the few who cultivate this Galician rarity. Hints of liquorice and ripe black fruit. Totally delicious.

Producer Information

Bodegas Coto Redondo: In a corner of southern Galicia near to the river Mino is the region of Rubios and here is Bodegas Coto Redondo. the Bodegas was founded in 2003 with some 57 shareholders; a group of growers dedicated in promoting the wines of Rubios. The aim of the winery is to marry traditional and modern values whilst maintaining the very quality that made the regions wines world renowned. The first vintage was produced in 2005. Today there are 107 shareholders. The winery has 25 hectares of its own vineyards with further grapes sourced from the shareholders. The vineyards are in prime positions, some on the slopes of the mountains and others on the banks of the River Mino. Most of the plots are small and worked by hand. The wines produced are vey fruity with good minerality and an intense aroma.
